VILLA DEVOTO

In Villa Devoto, which is in the city of Buenos Aires, all the evangelical churches of the area joined in 10 days of prayer meetings, one in each local church.

On the 11th of May, we had our Global Day of Prayer meeting. We met up in the biggest church in the area and prayed for our city, nation and so that the whole world would see God’s Glory.

It is the first time in the history of this part of the city that all the evangelical churches join in a prayer meeting, ¡and this time we did 8 meetings! Our Global Day of Prayer meeting was the first time we truly joined in prayer, and it has been simply amazing!

On the other hand, we helped promote the GDOP nationwide, so we told ACIERA (the biggest evangelical union in the country, which joins many denominations and around 10.000 churches across the country) about this day. They sent an email to all these churches, telling them about the GDOP, so we don’t really know how many prayer events there has been or how many churches were praying in their Sunday meetings.

We’ve heard about events in the north of the country, the provinces of Salta and Tucuman. We also know about some churches that were going to be praying in their Sunday meetings, but as so many churches in Argentina heard about the GDOP we don’t know how many joined us in prayer, It’s out of our hands! But now that we all know about this movement, I truly believe we will have greater events in the next year.
