NORTHERN INDIA
Many Churches and Mission organization confirmed that they participated in this global event to pray for the nations and for transformation of the land as promised in 2 Chron 7: 14.
In Shillong Meghalaya, the largest indoor stadium had been booked for the event.  Additionally, in all the district headquarters, this event was observed. This is a new development here as more churches and prayer groups are merging together.
In one state Tripura, already the previous Sunday,  thousands gathered to pray for the 10/40 nations plus for the transformation of the region covering 42 million population. This was a great moment as women from all denominations joined hands together to pray.

NATIONAL PRAYER NETWORK
We targeted to have this event at least 5000 locations this year.
GDOP in India this time has really penetrated in to more places than last year and the response is very encouraging and we stopped counting the number of locations. But in at least in 25 places we believe the attendance was more than 25,000 and some places touching as close to 75,000 people. Children Prayer Network in India also facilitated more than 300 children clubs in the nation.

BIHAR PRAYER NETWORK
Prayer Unit: Born Out-Reach Network, PATNA

We praise and thank the Lord for His blessings during the Global Day of Prayer observed by the people of God in Bihar State. New believers came together in different blocks, divisions and districts of Bihar and prayed for different nations of the world and for our mother land, India. The Leadership of Bihar Out-Reach Network, the state, divisional and district coordinators led the prayer in different places where we felt the presence of God. This is the Third year that Bihar Prayer Network has observed the Global Day of Prayer.

First time, Bihar Prayer Network organized the Global Day of Prayer on the 4th June 2006, at the block level in Bihar. 4000 people participated in prayer out of 130 blocks. And last year on 27th May 2008 in GDOP altogether 4500 people in 145 blocks prayed on this special day of prayer. 34 different Missions participated in the Global Day of Prayer. Our state was blessed and our Member Missions are growing in unity and harmony. The government has initiated several development Projects and people at large celebrated the “Dawn of New Bihar.”

This year Bihar Prayer Network took initiative step to organize prayer in block-level and as well as the important centers of the Districts in whole state of Bihar. In addition, we choose 35 centers in districts-level where we called God’s people to come in groups to kneel down and intercede for the whole world on the special Global Day of Prayer. They are 35 to 40 in each group, in each center. And 205 blocks with 25 to 30 people in each group altogether 6350 people participated in this special day of prayer.

Thus GDOP was observed all over Bihar State. Some Churches had 10 days. In addition other Missions, Churches, Prayer Cells, and Prayer Networks observed GDOP in different places of Bihar.

We, here in Patna, had a wonderful prayer time on the Global day of Prayer altogether 30 people gathered here for prayer. On the 11th May by morning (9 am to 12 pm) at Patliputra Christian Church in Patna and by evening (6 pm to 8 pm) we had prayer meeting with PCLF at Prayer House Patna .We prayed for the whole world, our nation and as well as for our state in order to have total transformation.

ANDHARAPRADESH

Around ten thousand gathered on the sea shore on the Pentecost Sunday evening for the united prayer. This is the third successive year for the GDOP in our city Visakhapatnam. This year prayer started at five more places to glorify God. Congregation prayed while ten pastors leading with ten prayer points. Global Day of Prayer was wonderful time of prayer for Visakhapatnam city. Glory to GOD!
