The Chief Secretary and other secretaries from the Tobago House of Assembly joined with hundreds of Christians of different denominations on May 11th, 2008 at the Scarborough esplanade for prayer for the nation.
The leaders of Pentecostal Assemblies and the Seventh day Adventist on the island were present as well as members of several other denominations
The site overlooking the harbor at the Capital Scarborough was very beautiful and after the solemn time of repentance, fervent intercessions were made for areas including:
- The nation’s leaders
- The system of Justice
- The upcoming Tobago House of Assembly Elections
- For the peace of the nation
- The pursuing of kingdom of God in the nation
- Healing of the body of Christ
- Protection from natural disasters – during this prayer, all the ministers present came on the stage
Included in the group of persons who prayed were young persons, the registrar of the court of justice and the hospital medical director. God was glorified by this event and we will continue to seek His face until we see His Kingdom come here in Trinidad and Tobago as it is in heaven.
