In 2008 the Global day of Prayer coincides with Mother’s Day in many nations across the globe.
This could be a major practical challenge or a wonderful opportunity to honor mothers in our
prayers as we celebrate GDOP with hundreds of millions.
A few practical suggestions on how to combine GDOP and Mothersday!
Practical suggestions:
• Incorporate prayers focused on mothers during your GDOP event if the event is during your church service
• Do something special to honor and pray for the mothers during your normal event
• Do your event after church in the form of a family picnic or host a Mother’s Day Meal after your vent
• Move your GDOP event to the late afternoon or evening in order for families to celebrate Mother’s Day
together during the afternoon

If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land
