Following the example of the first believers who "joined together constantly in prayer” (Acts 1:14) until the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, the Global Day of Prayer is following a simple strategy:

10 – 1 – 90

  • A Global Day of Prayer on Pentecost Sunday every year
  • 10 Days of day-and-night prayer preceding and leading up to the Global Day of Prayer
  • 90 Days of Blessing and continuing prayer, following the Global Day of Prayer

Why 10-1-90?

We find inspiration for the Global Day of Prayer Strategy in the three parts of the birth of the Church in Acts 1 – 2.

Ten days of constant prayer:
On Ascension Day, millions of Christians will find ways to pray night and day throughout the ten days leading to Pentecost, following the pattern of Christ's followers before the first Pentecost.

The Global Day of Prayer:
On Pentecost Sunday, Christians in almost every country will assemble to pray.  Many will gather in small groups such as prayer groups, homes, local churches, businesses and some may even assemble in large stadiums and other public venues. In some places, television, radio and internet will help to connect and align our prayers even more.
Once again the challenge would be to mobilise an all-year-round move of prayer.

Individual Every day life is for you; our simplest duty is helping students get the best from their thoughts during the university write my essay It is deemed an stimulating chance to nominate your chosen lecturer, coach, supervisor, help workforce, advisor of case studies, et cetera. If you think a member of employees went far above to create your time and effort right here at Glasgow remarkable, then what improved path to say thanks to them rather than to nominate them for a Individual Instruction Accolade.

Ninety days of blessing:
As in the first Pentecost, transformed Christians transform their communities as they offer themselves to God as instruments through which their prayers can be answered. The Global Day of Prayer anticipates the forming or furthering of local alliances among pastors, churches, missions and business leaders, to bring practical, transformational blessing to their communities.
This is where prayer becomes a lifestyle.

Why are we gathering?

The primary purpose we gather is for the glory of Christ and the blessing of the nations. To seek God and exalt His Son for one reason only, because He is worthy. The day is approaching when everything will be subject to His glory.

We are motivated by who He is not what we will get from our coming together.

The biggest challenge will be to leverage the energy from our events to facilitate a lifestyle of prayer, including all Christians and impacting every sphere of society.
